Organize uploaded songs, versions and albums

Follow this guide in the studio ↗Find the correct source in iLoveSong, import recordings, compare revisions, organize albums and check what sharing or deleting affects.
Find the record and the individual song
Open My Music Collection at /musics and use its search box to find the recording. Open the record to see its individual song cards; one record can contain multiple results. Preview the intended card before using More. Smart refine has its own button on the card. Use Upload song on the collection page to import a local recording, then wait for processing.
Saved Personas have their own /persona page. Do not confuse the collection with a set of All, Favorites and Personas tabs. A card’s delete action targets that result; Delete record on the detail page permanently removes the record and all its songs. Read the confirmation, download needed versions and keep a separate archive before confirming. Removing a song from an album is a different operation.
Build an album around a purpose
Open Albums and choose Create Album. Give it a name and optional description. An album can represent:
- a release candidate and its alternates;
- a client or campaign;
- a mood or genre collection;
- songs ready for video production.
Add music from the song menu with Add to Album, or open the album and use Add Songs. Removing a song from an album does not delete it from Library. Likewise, deleting an album removes the collection, not the underlying songs.
Use album search and sorting when the collection grows. Before sharing, check the order, cover, titles, and whether every included track is actually intended for public listening.
Share without giving up the source
The share action creates a public-facing link for a song or album. Test that link in a signed-out window. A public link is a listening surface, not a transfer of the editable project; keep the source in your own account and download archival files separately when needed.
For a durable workflow, keep one album for active review and another for approved masters. That separation prevents unfinished alternates from appearing in a client-facing collection. When a track is final, follow the download guide to archive the required formats.
Review both collections whenever a new revision replaces an older candidate.
Reuse a separated part in a new version
Keep the full mix beside its stems. To reuse an accompaniment, download it, upload it to the song library, then add new vocals. To try a different backing behind an isolated voice, upload that vocal and use Add instrumental. Listen for leakage before either operation. Separation and regeneration can introduce artifacts and change performance details, so compare the result with the source rather than assuming exact preservation.
For a song for a family celebration, keep a simple review note with the source title, the chosen result, the change you requested and what you heard. Put working alternatives in a review album and approved versions in a separate delivery album. Compare before replacing a candidate, then update the title and archive the selected audio. An album groups songs; an independent download preserves the file you may need outside the account.
