Add a personal song to your iLoveSong collection

Upload an MP3 or M4A to iLoveSong, check the 50 MB limit and processing status, then choose vocals, accompaniment, a cover or Smart refine for your next version.

Follow this guide in the studio ↗

Your iLoveSong collection can include music you already have. Upload the recording, wait until it is ready, then open its song card to decide whether to add singing, change the accompaniment or try a new interpretation.

Open the tool for your song

Sign in to iLoveSong, open My Music Collection at /musics, and choose Upload song. Select a file or drop it into the dialog, enter a title and submit. Wait for the upload to finish processing, then open its record and choose the individual song you want to work on.

Prepare the file and account

The song uploader accepts MP3 and M4A, up to 50 MB, and a title of at most 80 characters. Use an eligible paid account with enough credits; the current upload charge is 1 credit, shown before submission. Uploading and later AI operations are separate actions, each with its own displayed cost.

Play the local file from beginning to end. Check that it contains the intended recording and that the extension matches its real format. Renaming a WAV file to .mp3 does not convert it. Keep your original file independently so the library copy is not your only archive. Upload only music you own or have permission to use; submitted songs undergo a copyright review.

Wait until the source is ready

Sending the file is followed by processing. A visible library item does not necessarily mean all operations are ready. Wait for completion, then preview the audio and check its duration. Avoid repeated submissions while a task is active. If the upload fails, inspect the message, file format, size, account access and balance before trying again. A copyright rejection calls for a permitted source, not a renamed copy of the same recording.

Choose what you want to change

Use Add vocals for a backing track that needs lyrics and singing, or Add instrumental to explore accompaniment for a vocal recording. A vocal song can become a different arrangement through Cover; Smart refine accepts written instructions about several lyrics, instruments or a section. These operations create new results while the source remains available.

Extension and timed lyric editing have their own requirements. In particular, lyric replacement needs usable aligned lyrics: uploading arbitrary audio does not guarantee that a lyric timeline will be available. Uploading a song also does not create a verified voice identity. Use the separate voice-verification workflow when that is your actual task.

Try a focused version

For a song for a family celebration, keep the source title recognizable and describe the next version separately. If the backing track is the useful part, separate and download it first, upload that file, then add newly written lyrics through the vocal tool. Listen for residual singing in the separated track before spending credits. Compare the finished version with the source and retain both until you have chosen a final arrangement.
